Looking for an experienced cleaner for a careful and methodical job to dry dust and vacuum walls and ceilings throughout a 3-bedroom house before painting. This follows a fire and smoke incident a few years ago - the house is to be repainted. The house had historic smoke exposure, and the painter will be sealing surfaces with shellac primer (BIN). The purpose of this job is not deep cleaning, but simply to remove loose soot and dust so the primer adheres properly. Scope of Work • Dry dust or vacuum ceilings throughout the house • Dry dust or vacuum walls throughout the house • Lightly dust cornices, window frames and door frames • Remove any loose soot or dust sitting on the surface Bathrooms and cupboards • Bathroom tiles and cupboards only need a normal wipe if dusty • The dry dusting is mainly for walls, ceilings and cornices that will be painted Important • Do not wash, scrub or use chemicals on walls or ceilings • The staining will be sealed by the shellac primer, so the goal is only to ensure surfaces are not powdery and free of loose debris Suggested Equipment • Microfibre dust mop / pole duster for ceilings and walls • Vacuum with soft brush attachment for corners and details • Ladder required Order of Work 1.
