I am looking for an experienced and reliable handyman or installer to supply and install two small awnings above external doors on a modern fibreboard-clad one bedder granny flat located at Kennelly Street, Cloyton NSW. The main purpose of the awnings is to protect the timber doors from direct sun exposure and weather damage. The job will require locating wall studs or securely mounting to a timber backing plate, as fibreboard cladding cannot support weight on its own. Scope of Work: Supply and/or install 2x small awnings (preferably polycarbonate, aluminium or lightweight fabric awnings suitable for residential use) Ensure awnings are mounted securely into wall studs (or to a treated timber batten fixed to studs) Seal all penetrations/weatherproofing as required Ensure awnings are level and installed in a way that sheds water away from the wall and door Clean up work area upon completion Important Notes: The building is clad in fibre cement sheet (FC/fibreboard) — so mounting must be done into wall studs or using a structural timber batten (it is a 2020 build) The existing doors are timber, and exposure to sun has already caused some wear; protection from sunlight is the goal of the install. Please Include in Your Offer: Labour cost Any materials or fixings (if you are supplying the awnings, please include a product link or brief description) Estimated time to complete the job Your experience with similar installations Preferred Timing: Confirmed with tenant, external access tho so anytime should be fine. Hello, We are looking for a skilled handyman, joiner, or cabinet maker to perform several repairs on the main POS (Point of Sale) counter at our retail store, in Westpoint Blacktown. The Issue: Due to constant wear and tear, several components of our POS counter are not functioning correctly: - Swing Doors: Two under-counter cabinet doors are misaligned from their hinges. They move noticeably, close unevenly, and do not sit flush. - Drawers: The internal drawers do not close properly, requiring staff to use makeshift fixes to keep them shut. This likely points to an issue with the drawer runners/sliders. The Job: The task is to repair and adjust the doors and drawers to restore full and proper functionality. The scope of work includes: 1. For the Doors: Assessing the hinges, then adjusting, re-securing, or replacing them as necessary to ensure both doors hang straight, are perfectly aligned, and close smoothly. 3. For the Drawers: Inspecting the drawer runners (sliders), then repairing or replacing them to ensure the drawers open and close smoothly and fully. 4. Please note: The successful contractor MUST supply any necessary replacement parts (e.g., new hinges, new drawer runners, screws). The cost for these materials must be included in your final offer. Requirements: - MUST have proven experience with commercial cabinetry repairs, including adjusting/replacing concealed hinges and drawer runners. - You must supply all your own tools AND all necessary materials (as mentioned above). - Ability to work cleanly and professionally within a live retail environment. Location & Timing: Location: Westpoint shopping centre, 17 Patrick St, Blacktown NSW 2148 (exact location will be provided once the task is assigned) When: The job can be completed at your earliest convenience.
