I now have the go ahead for this task. I require a Structural engineer to design the structural concrete footings for a sculpture to be installed outdoors. The project involves the installation of a hand-carved marble sculpture Footing & Plinth Requirements: • The sculpture will be mounted on a custom-fabricated steel aluminium plinth, which in turn must be securely bolted to the footings. • The overall footprint of the steel plinth is approximately 2000 x 900 mm, with a finished height of 750 mm. • The sculpture will be seated on top of this plinth, with a combined estimated weight of 600kgs. • The footings must ensure long-term structural stability in an outdoor environment, accommodate public safety considerations, and account for potential ground movement. • Ground preparation (soil clearing/levelling) will be undertaken by the site’s landscape contractors. Soil conditions are expected to be compacted fill, though this will be confirmed during a site inspection. Deliverables Required: • Structural engineering design and drawings for in-ground footings suitable for anchoring the steel plinth. • CAD files (DWG or similar) and any structural specifications (concrete strength, reinforcement, bolt types/fixings, etc.). • a 3D file made to scale has already been created and can be provided to you in any format. Image of the plinth and sculpture will be provided once the job has been assigned. Thanks, Chris
