I’m a sole trader, working remotely for a U.S.-based tech company. I’m looking for a tax advisor or accountant experienced with cross-border setups, ideally someone who’s handled U.S. startup equity (stock options or RSUs) for Australian contractors or remote employees. The company is open to adjusting the structure if needed, so I’d like help with: Reviewing how the equity should be issued (contractor vs employee treatment) Making sure the setup is compliant under Australian tax law. Explaining any reporting or record-keeping I’ll need to do. Outlining when and how this could be taxed.
