I would like to have the upstairs shower/tub inspected regarding a noise issue that occurs when the water is turned on. Here are the symptoms: * The home is approximately 22 years old. * The noise occurs only when someone turns on the upstairs shower/tub. * It sounds like a light knocking, tapping, or chattering noise. * The noise is much less severe now than it was originally. * Another plumber recently adjusted the main water pressure regulator/valve near the main water line in the garage, which significantly reduced the noise. * Water pressure was checked and was found to be within the normal range. * The remaining sound appears to travel through the wall from the upstairs bathroom and can sometimes be heard in areas below. Before replacing the entire shower valve, I would like to determine whether the issue could be related to: * The pressure-balance cartridge * The shower cartridge * A loose pipe support or pipe vibration * The valve body itself * Another plumbing component Could you please provide: 1.
