Re install air filter cover for 2014 Suzuki swift

Just need someone who know how to re install air filter cover for my car. We spent 1 and a half hours trying to get it back on but it just would not get back on properly. My nephew done it once before he had no issues but for the life of me we could not get it back on all the way. Who ever comes needs to have knowledge 9f how to get it back on as it seems like it needs to go lower to slide back in
