Details

Replace an existing outdoor lantern with a new LUTEC Hera PIR LED Floodlight which I will supply and have already (product details here: https://www.toolstation.com/lutec-hera-pir-led-floodlight/pAK740) on the exterior side wall. Key requirements: Direct & Clean Wiring: Feed the existing wall mains cable directly through the rear rubber grommet into the internal terminal block—no external junction boxes or trailing flex are to be used. Footprint & Sealing: Because the Hera has a compact base compared to the old lantern, please ensure any old rawlplug holes are filled securely. Apply a neat bead of exterior silicone sealant along the top and side edges of the backplate where it meets the pebble dashed wall (leaving the bottom edge unsealed for natural drainage/condensation escape). Sensor & Angle Adjustment: Tilt the adjustable LED head downward to target the approach path and door and configure the PIR sensor range and timer settings for optimal corner detection. Pre-Departure Testing: Before packing up, please temporarily put the PIR sensor into TEST mode (or cover it to simulate darkness) so we can walk past and fully verify that the motion sensor triggers correctly, alongside testing the manual indoor switch override (OFF -> ON -> OFF -> ON).
