Carpenter: Entrance Door Rehang, Smart Lock Mortise & Seals Looking for a qualified carpenter or skilled handyman to service, realign, upgrade hardware, and finish a solid timber/glass entrance door (2340 x 920 x 40 mm). Scope of Work: * Door Alignment & Hinge Tuning: * Adjust/pack the 4 existing hinges and secure top hinge with long structural screws into the house framing stud so the door hangs square and plumb. * Fix the top corner currently sitting proud of the rebate and eliminate any timber binding/brushing along the threshold and jamb. * Smart Lock Installation (Aqara A100): * Remove existing long pull handle, latch, and faceplates. * Mortise the door stile to fit an Aqara A100 smart lock body, spindle, and cylinders. * Mortise and align the new strike plate into the jamb so the door latches effortlessly with positive seal pressure. * Draft, Dust & Weather Sealing: * Supply and fit perimeter compression seals into the frame stop rebate to eliminate draft and light gaps. * Install bottom draft/dust protection (either rout bottom edge for a concealed drop seal or cut/fit supplied Raven RP8Si concealed bottom seal). * Prep & Cleaning: * Neatly razor-scrape dried paint overspray off the glass margins without scratching. * Fill old handle through-bolt holes and redundant strike recesses with exterior timber filler ready for finishing. * Painting (Optional Add-on / In-Place): * Please quote with and without completing the in-place painting of the door (2 coats of Dulux Aquanamel Semi-Gloss on both sides and edges). * Owner supplies the paint. Supplied by Owner: * Aqara A100 smart lock (new in box). * Raven RP8Si bottom door seal / drop seal. * Dulux Aquanamel paint (1L, Semi-Gloss). Tradesperson to Supply: * Frame perimeter compression weather-stripping. * Exterior timber filler, screws/anchors, sandpaper, and all necessary trade tools
