Repairing PVC leaks with tape

However, a plumber will choose to use a repair epoxy to stop leaks from worsening. Epoxy is a liquid or putty that is directly applied to the pipe to repair it. To use a horse clamp, it must open all the way and be wrapped with the rubber around the pipe. The hose clamps tighten around the pipe. This helps prevent a burst pipe if secured well.
