Looking for a handyman or locksmith to help open and repair a jammed sliding door lock. Our sliding glass door is locked shut because the internal hook latch lock appears to have seized. The handle and thumb lever will not move and the latch will not retract. The key cylinder was recently replaced but the internal lock body seems jammed/corroded. We’ve already tried: • Turning the key and lever • Removing/detaching the handle • Accessing the lock body • Cutting a small section of the aluminium around the lock area to expose the mechanism Despite this, the latch is still engaged and the door cannot open. Need someone who can fix a lock, the problem is that the door is too low so lock is not clicking/locking. I am having to physically lift the door so it clicks. Gate lock is also broken, key is not going in on one side, not sure what the issue is there. We had a previois lock person and these problems arose after their fixes, so please dont apply if you dont know what your doing.

Hello! I have two doors that need the latches and potentially one handle fixed. One latch does not work at all (it is stuck), the other does, but doesn’t keep the door closed (it can be easily pushed open) and the handle is loose.

The front door mechanism just continues to rotate with a key inside. Instead of the key unlocking the door. I believe the mechanism may have broken and may need replacement. However, it could just need repair. Located in Paddington Sydney. Need this done Monday 19th as I can’t use the front door.

Door will shut and top latch will click in but the bottom lock will open and close with the key when the door is open but will not lock and turn when the door is closed. I believe the plate in the door frame needs to be adjusted / moved slightly for it to be able to go in and lock the door. We would rather repair this and not get a new handle.
