Install Ultraloq Smart Deadbolt on Timber Front Door, fresh hole required Hi, I’m looking for someone experienced to install an Ultraloq Bolt smart deadbolt on my timber front door. This is a new installation, so a fresh hole will need to be drilled into the door and frame. The door already has an existing lever handle, and the new deadbolt will be installed below it. Photos are attached and the location is marked. • Timber front door with horizontal slats and glass inserts • Fresh deadbolt installation, new holes required • Existing handle stays, new deadbolt goes below it • I already have the full Ultraloq Bolt kit • Precision is important because there are glass inserts nearby What needs to be done: • Check the correct backset and placement before drilling • Use the Ultraloq template to mark out properly • Drill new hole through the door for the deadbolt • Drill latch hole into the door edge • Chisel/mortise the latch faceplate so it sits flush • Install and align the strike plate on the frame • Fit the front and back lock assembly • Test that the deadbolt locks and unlocks smoothly • Basic testing of manual and electronic function Please only quote if you have experience installing smart deadbolts or drilling fresh deadbolt holes into timber doors.
