The Issue: The door handle on our internal optometry room is broken and repeatedly falls off. The internal mechanism that secures the lever to the spindle has failed, making the handle unusable. While staff can temporarily place it back on, it is not secure and comes off with normal use. The Job: The task is to replace the entire broken handle set with a new, durable unit to make the door fully functional again. The scope of work includes: 1. Assessing the existing broken handle set. 2. Supplying a new, like-for-like replacement door handle set. The required style is a commercial-grade, black lever handle on a round rose (as seen in the photos). 3. Carefully removing the old hardware. 4. Installing the new handle set, ensuring it is securely fastened to the door and the spindle. 5. Testing the door thoroughly to confirm it latches correctly and the handle is solid and operates smoothly. Please note: The successful contractor MUST supply the new replacement door handle set. The cost for this hardware must be included in your final offer. Requirements: - MUST have experience with installing commercial door hardware and locksets. - You must supply all your own tools AND the new replacement handle set (as mentioned above). - Ability to work cleanly and professionally within a live retail environment. - Public liability insurance is required.
