I’m looking for a reliable, friendly and proactive mother’s helper to assist me. I’m a mum with 3 young children (7yr,4yr,1month), so I’m after an extra pair of hands on solo parenting evenings when my husband is at work. The role will mainly involve: 1. Household Support 1. Laundry - wash, hang, fold, iron & put away 2. Dishwasher loading & put away; wash , dry & put away anything that can’t go in the dishwasher 3. General wiping down of surfaces after dinner 4. Light clean of bathrooms- mainly vacuuming where the robot vacuum can’t reach, surfaces & bins 5. Putting away toys 6. Bedsheets change and wash once a week 7. Take out bins, compost bin & recycling 8. Clearing out robot vacuum’s dirty water tank & refilling clean water tank 9. Clearing floor for robot vacuum then putting things back 10. Other adhoc duties such as organizing clothes , lunch box prep, changing cushion /chair covers , etc 2. Helping with children if needed 1. Helping the older kids’ bedtime routine if I am stuck feeding baby, they are generally independent but may ask for help with certain things or get distracted 2. Minding the baby so I can take a shower or do bedtime routine with older kids This is primarily a household support role, not a childcare position. Help me reorganise & reset a work & living unusual space I'm looking for one clever, practical, highly organised person to work alongside me for a day reorganising and resetting a work space (downstairs) and a living space (the upstairs area) in a beautiful old heritage building in Drummoyne. I need someone who is good at looking at a slightly chaotic space and figuring out how it could work better: sorting things, creating sensible zones, finding better homes for equipment and objects, rearranging things where necessary, decluttering, and generally helping me make intelligent decisions about the space. We'll be doing it together, so I'm looking for someone who takes initiative and can say things like "Why on earth is this here? This would make much more sense over there." There will also be cleaning involved as we go: wiping down surfaces, vacuuming/mopping, cleaning shelving and equipment, etc. But the main thing I'm looking for is organisation + practical problem-solving + a willingness to get stuck into it physically. We’re looking for someone for around 4 hours per visit and would prefer to agree on an hourly rate rather than having a fixed checklist of tasks and lots of individual extras. We’d like someone who can take a bit of ownership of keeping the house clean and tidy. This would include the usual cleaning such as bathrooms, kitchen, vacuuming, mopping, dusting and wiping surfaces, but also some general housekeeping and tidying as needed.
