What does a landscape design service include?

Our landscape designers have the skills and experience to help you achieve the landscape you've always wanted. They can redesign your current backyard, or craft a whole new concept for you. Using their knowledge and artistry, you can count on them for a detailed final plan, either digitally prepared or printed. To give you an overview, here's how our garden design and landscape service works:

Garden landscape analysis

Usually, our design process starts with an initial site visit. It allows our landscape designers to fully understand your style so they can come up with a solution that will best reflect your personality and aesthetics. It can also give them a better idea of the location, lifestyle, and climate, and identify any possible challenges that might arise. While at it, feel free to discuss the ideas you have in mind, your preference, as well as your budget.

In case of unforeseen circumstances that your designers will not be able to show up to your place, you can send them photos of your current landscape. You may also discuss your plans with them through our messaging tool.

Garden landscape design proposal

Our designers prepare their first design proposal based on all the gathered insights and discussions from the initial meeting. The sketches and layout can be presented to you conventionally through pen-and-paper or via digital platforms. The purpose is to give you a visual idea of how your future garden landscape will look like. Usually, it includes all the suggested landscape features that will complete your outdoor space. Popular elements are plants, flowers, hedges, trees, pathways, and real or artificial turf.

If you want to make your landscape a little more entertaining, you can ask our designers to include pools, garden bench seats, water features like ponds and waterfalls, and even a gazebo. Do not hesitate to let them know your feedback. Our landscape designers may work on many revisions until they come up with the perfect and most suitable design.

Garden landscape final concept plan

The service usually concludes with a final concrete plan that will guide you towards correct execution. Once the design proposal is approved, your designer hands over a final concept plan, which usually contains: 2D or 3D visuals, furniture and material recommendations and samples, demolitions if applicable, and detailed plan for each landscape feature.

We also have a range of landscape contractors who can do all the building and installing to complete your new outdoor living space. You can even hire our landscape architects if you need someone who can professionally supervise the whole thing and ensure that the project is going according to plan.

Landscape design and plan for urban forest

$1,000

Indooroopilly QLD, Australia

3rd Nov 2019

We have a backyard that was planted mainly with palms, ferns and eucalypts in the 1970s. Through the various droughts since then it has started to get a bit ratty and some of the larger trees have died off. The place is overrun with weeds and the tracks have been overrun with growth. We would like make the most of the vegetation we have and transform the place into a dry sclerophyll forest. A bit about the yard, and its challenges: - it’s approx. 800sqm on a severe slope (w/ erosion) - there’s a gully running through it - there is very poor access on the property to the back A bit about the approach we want to take: - we’re looking at this as a multi-year project, partly to manage our budget and partly so the job doesn’t kill us - we need prioritising the work into manageable stages We’re looking for an experienced landscape designer, preferably somebody with demonstrable experience with planning in rainforest settings. And you’ll be able to see the potential from the photos!
