What do landscape architecture services include?

Whether you're planning for new landscape construction or refurbishment, Airtasker can lend a hand! Our landscape architects can design, plan, and build the perfect outdoor place that will leave you, your family, and guests in awe! Gather all the ideas you have in mind, list down all things you want to see and include in your backyard, and let our Taskers walk you through the process. With the right help, your dream landscape will materialise as planned and within your budget. Here are some of the services that you can request from our landscape architects:

Landscape Architecture Project Analysis

To get started, your architect may need to do a site visit to examine your residential location, climate, lifestyle, and other essential factors. The purpose is to help identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, or a so-called "SWOT" analysis. It can give your architect a better idea of what materials and landscape structures will bring the best outdoor living space. Use this opportunity to align the theme you want to accomplish. Do you want it to be entertaining, relaxing, playful, or minimalist? It's all up to you!

Landscape architecture planning and designing

Having a good master plan can help yield an excellent foundation for your landscape architecture project. Your architect can provide sketch designs to give you a visualisation of your anticipated outdoor space. They can also present a list of the most recommended hardscape and softscape materials, budget range, and even estimated time frame if needed. Do not hesitate to coordinate with them if you need further modifications or replacements to avoid future disputes.

Landscape project implementation

Our landscape architects can oversee the project implementation for a smooth-running project. Since they sketched the landscape design for you, they can also help supervise and verify if the construction and installation are going according to plan. They can also identify potential risks and problems and address them before they lead to any costly damages.

If you need an extra pair of hands in building your landscape structures, Airtasker has contractors who can help as well. We have professional earthmoving contractors who can work on your soil levelling, professional paving experts who can lay artistic pavers on your pathways, and also softscape experts who can take over your garden planting and vegetation.

Hello, I am looking for a landscape design for a small townhouse yard. The yard will need to incorporate a retaining wall and some steps down from street level to the yard level. The yard is around 45m2 and meets a small concrete undercover patio. There will be a rear entrance gate from the street at the rear of the yard. The feel of the townhouse is dark double brick, 1960's with white french doors and windows - think British countryside. Looking to steer clear of anything tropical. Yard is west facing. Thanks!
