Vinyl / faux-leather furniture repair & recolour (tufted, cosmetic) ⸻ Visible office seating (low use). The vinyl/faux-leather surface coating is peeling in areas (see photos). I’m looking for a cosmetic restoration, not full reupholstery: • Surface preparation and removal of loose coating • Flexible filler where required • Full recolour of the entire piece (not spot patching) • Sealing/topcoat so the finish looks even and presentable This is a tufted piece, so experience with vinyl/leather or automotive interior repairs is preferred. Please only respond if you: • Have prior vinyl or leather repair experience • Can share before/after photos of similar work • Can complete the job onsite Uniform appearance is the priority. Long-term heavy-use durability is not required. AUD 150-200 (happy to confirm after photos/assessment)

I have a high-quality lacquered TV unit that is 2600mm wide which does not fit into my apartment via lift or stairs. I am looking for an experienced cabinet maker or joiner only to assess and carry out cutting the carcass into two sections that can be brought inside and re-joined on site. This is not a simple cut job. The unit is a single carcass and needs to be handled professionally to avoid visible seams, misalignment or structural weakness. Key details: • TV unit approx 2600mm wide • Lacquered finish • Re-joining must be concealed internally • Outcome must be neat, square and structurally sound Important: • Interior join lines will be visible if done poorly so experience is essential • I am aware a perfect “as new” finish may not be achievable and want honest advice before proceeding • Please do not apply if you only do basic cabinetry or handyman work Please include in your response: • Your experience with lacquered furniture or custom joinery • Examples or photos of similar work if possible • Your proposed method Location: Redfern, NSW Timing: ASAP

I need a wooden display board made. It is a two panel foldable display board. It will hold little cards on the inside cavity of each panel which I will put in. It needs to go in the boot of my car, and it should look nice. It should be wooden or wood look, with varnish or presentation quality finish. One timber stair tread (bottom step) has developed front-edge movement. When stepped on near the edge it makes a clunking / hollow sound and shifts slightly. There is no access from underneath. This is not cosmetic – the tread needs to be structurally re-secured. What’s required: Re-bond tread to riser using construction adhesive (polyurethane or MS polymer) Mechanically secure tread to riser (screws, not nails) Clamp / weight while curing Plug / fill screw holes and tidy finish The side of the tread is lightly rubbing the wall due to movement – this should stop once fixed. Important notes Timber stairs (existing finish to be preserved) No underside access Do not want caulking, foam, or cosmetic-only solutions Who this suits Experienced carpenter or stair repair specialist (Not a general handyman unless experienced with timber stairs)
