Task Title: Remove wardrobe doors/frame and install custom desk nook & lift-up cabinet door for top shelf. Task Details (Description): Hi! I’m looking for an experienced handyman or carpenter in Melbourne to help me convert an existing closet space into a functional office desk. Current State: I have already completely gutted the inside of the wardrobe. Demolition: Carefully remove the existing wardrobe doors and the old wooden frame/architrave around the door opening, minimizing damage to the surrounding plaster. Desk Installation: Supply and install a sturdy, custom-cut timber benchtop/desk surface inside the space at standard sitting height (approx. 73-75cm high), securely mounted to the wall studs. Top Cabinet Door: Supply and install a single cabinet door to cover the existing top shelf. This door needs to open upwards to the ceiling, so it will require appropriate lift-up hinges to hold safely. Cable Management: Drill a neat hole in the desktop for cables and fit a plastic/metal cable grommet. Waste Removal: Please let me know if you can take the old doors and frame away with you, or if I need to dispose of them myself. height:approximately 210cm, length of doors from outside 120 cm but inside 170cm

1. Double-height window (2 storey) has had weather damage and needs the timber surrounds taken off and new ones replaced; including surrounds. Bottom of the entire sill is rotten and needs replacing. Will need scaffold. I have some scaffold which is on wheels. * internal & external sill and glazing timber frame rectification works - supply and instal timbers 2. Two french doors with fixed windows either side - one is pretty good and needs minor repair and the other one is quite rotten and damaged at the base of both the sill and the doors/windows. The existing structure is good on one and poor on the other. * supply and instal replacement timber for bifold door/s and any hinges and nuts & bolts (keep receipts - I will reimburse) to make operational and able to open. *supply and instal bi-fold sills to make operational again - one is bad the other could be repaired. It needs an experienced carpenter with lots of experience to take the doors and windows out and repair and replace. I am happy to pay for the timbers and this quote if for your labour and tools of trade. May need to hire scaffold - I can cover this cost. Works are being done to sell and must pass building inspection. Please ask any questions.

Cabinetry adjustment above gas stove – make compliant I need a cabinetmaker/handyman to modify the existing overhead cabinetry above a freestanding gas stove in a Richmond apartment. The current cupboard/extraction fan enclosure sits too low and protrudes over the cooktop. I need the cabinetry altered so there is sufficient clearance above the gas cooktop and the area can meet the applicable installation/compliance requirements. Work would likely involve: * Cutting back, shortening or reconfiguring the cupboard directly above the stove. * Adjusting/removing the lower section that currently protrudes over the cooktop. * Making good the cabinetry after alteration so it looks neat and finished. * Coordinating the finished dimensions with the required clearance for the gas cooktop/rangehood. Cabinet: any combustible cabinet surface directly above the gas cooktop should ideally be 650 mm or more above the top of the gas trivet. If it is lower than 650 mm, it needs compliant protection; nothing can be below 450 mm. an Photos attached showing the existing setup. Please quote for labour and materials and advise how you would modify it. Ideally looking for someone experienced with kitchen cabinetry and gas cooktop/rangehood clearance requirements.

I have an internal timber door(a sliding door converted to swing door) where a previous handle/hardware recess has been filled with plain putty/filler by another tradesperson. The repair is unfinished — raw, unstained filler is clearly visible against the surrounding timber, with no colour matching or sealing. I'm looking for a qualified carpenter to properly rectify this: Remove the existing putty fill Insert a matching timber patch (same species, grain-matched) Sand flush and finish to match the existing door stain/lacquer I have a spare matching door that can be used as the source timber for the patch, so grain and colour matching should be straightforward. This is for a single door in a recently renovated bathroom, so a clean, professional finish that matches the existing timber is important. Please make a offer.

Looking for an experienced timber staircase specialist, architectural joiner, cabinetmaker or high-end timber restoration specialist to inspect and repair an existing feature staircase in Northcote. The staircase consists of large spotted gum hardwood timber box/fabricated treads mounted on a central steel structure with glass balustrading.
