Looking for an experienced handyman/carpenter to build a fitted storage cupboard in an existing alcove, similar to the finished cupboard shown in my reference photo. The approximate overall finished size is: **50 cm wide × 218 cm high × 26 cm deep** I already have several pieces of wood/MDF which should cover most or possibly all of the material required. The handyman can check the pieces before starting and trim them as necessary. ### Proposed pieces / dimensions All measurements are in centimetres and the assumed MDF/wood thickness is approximately **2 cm**. - **Door:** 50 × 218 cm — 1 piece - **Top and bottom panels:** 50 × 26 cm — 2 pieces - **Full-height vertical side/partition panel:** 214 × 26 × 2 cm — 1 piece - **Shelves:** 48 × 23 cm — approximately 5–6 shelves - **Bottom finishing/closing strip:** 48 × 5 cm — 1 piece The 214 cm vertical panel, together with the 2 cm top and 2 cm bottom panels, gives the overall height of approximately 218 cm. ### Work required The job would include building/fitting the internal cupboard structure, installing approximately 5–6 shelves, fitting the bottom finishing piece, and installing one full-height door similar to the existing fitted cupboard shown in the reference photo. I would like the door to be fitted neatly with concealed cupboard-style hinges where suitable, with good alignment and a clean finished appearance. The exact vertical spacing of the shelves can be agreed on site. They can either be evenly spaced or positioned according to practical storage requirements. Please check all measurements on site before cutting, particularly the opening width/height, wall straightness, hinge position and final door clearance. Please provide a quote for labour and let me know if any additional hinges, fixings, edging, handle/catch or other small materials would be required.

Hi, I have a floor-to-ceiling aluminium balcony door that doesn’t seem to be closing or sealing properly. I can feel a draught coming through the top and bottom corners, while the door seals properly in the middle. The handle turns normally, but when I try to open the door in tilt mode, one of the top corners comes away from the frame while the other remains attached.
