Glass sizing and measurement
Upon arriving, your Tasker first sets up the preparatory steps required of any glass cutting request. It typically includes jotting down the specifications of your needs, down to the last millimetre. Once done, they will prep and mark the glass sheet based on the sizing and measurement taken. Glass scoring
Unlike what most people believe, glass cutting doesn't actually involve what is commonly thought of as a "cutting" method. It's a two-part process that entails scoring and breaking. Glass scoring would have a knowledgeable tradesman create an outline of your needed specifications on a sheet of glass. This is done through the use of a glass cutter, which makes a straight break. It also serves as a guide for the second step of the process.
Glass breaking
The glass breaking process will quite literally involve breaking the sheet of glass to separate the unwanted excess, leaving the desired cut-to-size glass alone. There are numerous approaches to this, with the most common involving the use of the glass cutter once again. At the other end of the blade is a weighted ball, which your Tasker could use to create the breaks along the scored line.
Glass sanding and polishing
Your Tasker can proceed to the sanding and polishing process once your glass piece is already down to your desired size and shape. They can run the glass through some sandpaper to remove all the jagged and imperfectly cut edges. In doing so, you get to avoid any dangerous accidents from the sharp corners, while reducing its chances of breaking from potential weak spots.
