What do chair repair services include?

Chair repair services cover all the steps necessary to get your chairs back in good working condition. Whether you need an office chair, cane chair, or wicker chair repaired, we can help you find a skilled repair handyman who can restore your chairs accordingly. They can inspect your chair for damages or defects and offer you the best, most cost-effective solution. For a better idea of what we can do for you, here are some common chair repair requests:

Office chair repair

With features like lumbar support and a unique ergonomic design, having comfortable and high-quality office chairs can significantly impact your efficiency and productivity. When your office chair looks like it has seen better days, you can hire a Tasker for an office chair repair.

Depending on the damage or problem, they can tighten any loose screws or bolts and replace any broken or worn-out components such as the cushion pads, tension springs, and lifting mechanisms. For wobbling issues, they can check each leg for faults or defects and have them replaced with new ones as well. If the problem lies on your seat getting stuck and failing to move up or down, your Tasker can repair your office chair's hydraulic cylinder so your chair can work, look, and feel like new again.

Cane chair repair

Cane chairs are common home furniture items and can be placed wherever you like–whether in the dining room, garden, patio, lounge, or living room. If you've noticed a damaged or missing cane, Taskers can do a cane chair repair to help salvage your cane chair.

Starting by removing the old cane and spline, they can install a new pressed or pre-woven cane with a pattern of your choosing. In case you want to change the appearance of your chair completely, your Tasker can also help you out. Cane-backed chairs have sturdy frames that can hold not just interlaced canes but also cushion pads or upholstery.

Wicker chair repair

Wicker chairs, also known as peacock chairs, are created with traditional plant material like rattan. Light but well built, these chairs are ideal for areas where you can move furniture around such as patios and foyers. When you're looking to have your wicker chairs repaired, Taskers can do the work for you. If you have an outdoor wicker chair, your Tasker can work on inserting replacement reeds. Since the heat from sunlight can be drying, your chair can lose its lustre and have a dull, faded finish.

Indoor wicker chairs, on the other hand, tend to be more durable since they don't contain synthetic materials. However, they're more prone to wear and tear due to continuous use. To preserve your wicker furniture, your Tasker can thoroughly clean your chair, oil the area to avoid any splints, and even apply a new coat of paint for a brighter finish.

Convert Stair Chair Lift Into Safe Large Dog Box

$300

Coorparoo QLD 4151, Australia

22nd Oct 2026

I need someone experienced in custom fabrication or carpentry to design and build a secure, comfortable dog box that mounts onto my parents’ existing stair chair lift in place of the chair. The proposed design should be a sturdy, fully enclosed transport cabin sized for our 40 kg elderly Staffy, who has severe arthritis and can no longer manage the stairs safely. It should include: * A strong, stable base that securely attaches to the existing lift platform * Smooth, rounded internal surfaces with no sharp edges or exposed hardware * A comfortable, non-slip padded floor * Secure doors or access panels at both the top and bottom ends of the box * Lockable safety latches that cannot be opened accidentally during travel * Clear visibility for the dog without creating an escape risk * A low, easy-entry threshold suitable for a dog with limited mobility * Adequate internal space for him to sit, stand, turn around and lie down comfortably * A lightweight but strong construction which will need to be removable. I have added a pic of what the box could possibly look like.
