Help mum with shower – 2 mornings/week at 8am – Miami $60 for two visits Looking for a kind, patient and reliable person to assist my mum with a quick shower twice a week at 8am, starting next week, at her home in Miami, Gold Coast. Mum has dementia but is mobile and normally showers independently. She currently has a wound on her right arm which needs to be securely covered and kept completely dry while showering. As her right hand is normally the hand she uses for washing, she will need prompting to use her other hand/arm while the wound heals. She can manage washing her private areas herself and does not require assistance with this. Just prompting to use that other hand. She may need a little help washing areas that are difficult one-handed, such as her back, legs and underarms. The role involves helping waterproof the wound before the shower, providing prompting and supervision, giving a little washing assistance where needed, and making sure the wound stays dry. No lifting or dressing assistance is required. The whole visit should take approximately 10–15 minutes. Looking for someone two mornings per week at 8am, starting next week. Aged-care, disability-support, dementia or personal-care experience preferred.
