Hi there, I’ve had someone let me down with completing a backup cam install into the Mr12Volt CarPlay unit they installed in my BMW E82. I bought the unit and replacement boot handle with camera, though my understanding is that it’s being powered by jumping onto the 12V reverse light when it needs to have dedicated power. It’s there — the screen goes blank in reverse but no image. It worked for maybe a minute or two (albeit really flickery) when it was installed but stopped pretty much straight away. He was meant to come back to fix it but has ghosted me and gone on to take other jobs. I’m looking for someone reliable and professional to: • Run dedicated power from the pre-installed Mr12Volt unit to the installed backup cam • Assess functionality of the front grille cam (cable already fed through firewall and in place — I have the front cam ready) • Replace existing backup cam in BMW F31 with a replacement cam I have (higher resolution) Needs to be neat and tidy please. I parked the car just onto a kerb at the front, as I’ve reversed the bumper panel has come away from the car slightly and some plastic brackets have snapped. Hoping to get it repaired, failing that, a new panel may be required. It is a 2010 BMW 1 Series 118di

Have a 2011 BMW X1 (e84) that is likely to to have a faulty Footwell Module. Whenever I drive, every 2-3 minutes I will get a fault warning of "dipped beam right fauilure". Also "Full beam headlight right/left failure" message when turn on high beam. Had mobile car electrician to check this, and they suspect the FRM might be faulty. I tried myself to use the OBDLink CX device and the Bimmercode app to check If the FRM can be coded, getting the error message and I can almost be sure that the FRM is faulty. There are few services online and ebay that require the FRM to be removed and posted to get it repaired. Is there anyone locally in Melbourne that knows how to fix this? *Additional information: I had an aftermarket led headlight assembly fitted 3 years ago, the issue started occuring 6 months ago. New led headlights from the original seller were swapped. All headlights functions and works perfectly, just having the warning code. 2. Car had swapped out a new alternator in April 2023, because the old one was faulty and was not generating enough electricicity

Swapped a new pair of aftermarket led headlights for my BMW X1 e84(2011). Because I kept getting faulty messages of "Dipped beam right". and sometimes "Dipped beam left" The new low beams are working perfectly and are very bright. But the error codes kept showing up and is really driving me crazy... I heard that the light module needs to be recoded for the error messages/faulty codes to disappear, especially with aftermarket headlights. I do not have the tools and knowledge to do this. Need someone with experience to fix this.
