I’m looking for help to finish the final assembly of a custom-made dog bed. Most of the prep work is already complete, including zips and flaps. The bed is rectangular with curved corners. The centre section holds a 7.5 cm foam insert (80 × 60 cm), with 20 cm bolsters around the edge. What the task involves: Pinning and aligning the top layer so it drops neatly over the foam section Sewing the foam section to the base Sewing the outer perimeter to complete the bed Working with bulky layers (I can assist where needed, to the best of my ability) Materials: Base: multiple layers of denim/Tencel (zips and flaps already installed) Top: Tencel fabric and plush fabric (currently separate, not joined) Cord channel around the outer edge for bolster support Requirements: Sewing machine capable of handling thick/bulky layers Suitable needle for heavy fabrics Location: I can bring the project to you (Point Cook or nearby), or you’re welcome to bring your machine to my place.
