Most tailoring work includes altering a garment to fit you better. If you plan to get an off-the-rack item and take it to clothing alterations near you, it’s best to choose a size that fits the widest point of your body. From there, your local tailor will take in or cinch the rest of the item. Tailors can also make sleeves or pant legs slimmer, adjust the straps and bust darts of a dress, shorten the sleeves of a shirt, add the lining, and add buttons or hook-and-eye clasps.

I purchased 100 T-Shirts from a manufacturer, and they unfortunately did not finish off the threads correctly so they have loose threads that are unraveling in different places after being in the washing machine. Im looking for someone who has basic sewing experience and a sewing machine to quickly go over just the ends of the thread paths to reinforce so they do not unravel.
