The car has no service history I can verify, so your report is my main check. First priority: the 2.5 turbo in 2016 to 2020 models has a documented risk of cylinder head cracking near the exhaust manifold. I have no sign this car has a crack. I want it tested to rule it out. Please do these first: • Cooling-system pressure test • Fault-code scan, including stored and pending codes • Coolant and engine oil condition, looking for contamination • The back of the engine, exhaust manifold, heat shields and hoses, checking for coolant leaks or residue Then the full check: • Engine, turbo and intake: leaks, noises, idle and warm-up behaviour • Transmission: shift quality, fluid condition, codes • Brakes: pad and rotor measurements • Suspension and steering: play, bushes, leaking shocks • Tyres: tread depth, age and wear pattern • Battery and charging test, air conditioning, lights and electrics • Underbody: leaks, rust, signs of accident repair • A road test of at least 15 minutes, including 100 km/h • Check that the engine number matches the paperwork. I'll give you the number on the day. The car is at Cars24 in Altona North, and I'll arrange access. Please don't start the engine before you test it. I want to see it cold. Allow about 2 hours. I'll be there. Deliverable: a written report with photos and a pass, watch or fail rating for each item, sent the same day. Hi, I recently purchased a 2015 Toyota Camry and would like to have a qualified/experienced mechanic give the car a thorough inspection. The main purpose is to check the overall mechanical condition of the vehicle and identify any existing issues or anything that may require attention or maintenance in the near future. There is also a small ticking/clicking noise coming from around the front right wheel area. I mainly notice it when going over a speed bump or driving onto an uneven road. It isn’t very loud or causing any obvious driving issues, but I would like to understand what is causing it.
