The photos will be used for my LinkedIn profile, university/research profile, conference speaker bios and other professional purposes. I’m after a natural, polished and approachable look rather than traditional corporate headshots. I’m hoping to shoot in and around a library, university or similar academic setting (such as the State Library of NSW or another suitable location) with a mix of: * Natural portraits * Candid “working” shots (reading, writing or using a laptop) * Walking/environmental portraits * A few classic head-and-shoulders portraits The style I’m after is bright, modern and editorial, using natural light where possible. I am looking for a photographer skilled in taking human portrait shots based in Sydney to take very nice photos of my partners in restaurants. These photos will be used for TabTalks, a storytelling initiative spotlighting restaurant merchants across our ecosystem. Each feature celebrates the people behind restaurants — founders, GMs, chefs, and team members — through a short written story accompanied by a set of authentic portrait photographs taken in their restaurant environment. The visual style should feel human, documentary and authentic, capturing merchants in their natural environment rather than staged studio portraits. The scope will be 2 on-site shoot at the restaurant to be done during the week of 25 May, spread out across 2 to 3 days. Estimated shoot duration: 45–60 minutes, and we need your help to capture portraits of the merchant and the venue environment.

I'm looking to take group and individual photos in Hyde Park, Sydney. Examples of the types of photos attached. For individual portraits, shallow depth of field and space around the portrait (both sides) to allow for graphic design of different products (example below of a designed product). Body slightly angled away, but with the subject looking at the camera face front on. Preferably with a smiling expression (but not an over the top grin or laughing). For group shots, shots should be interactive and natural. Groups of three are preferred but groups of 2-5 are also welcome, with a tight to medium framing, like the examples below. A variety of portrait and landscape for group photos should be taken.
