PrePurchase Mechanical Inspection I’m looking for an experienced heavy vehicle/bus mechanic to inspect a Hino RG230 bus in Sydney before I purchase it. I’m currently in Sydney and need someone who can go over the bus thoroughly and give me an honest assessment of whether it is mechanically sound enough to drive from Sydney to Brisbane. Please check as much as possible, including: - Engine condition and starting/running - Oil, coolant and any signs of contamination - Radiator/cooling system - Turbo and intake system - Transmission and clutch - Brakes and air system - Steering and suspension - Diff/drive train - Wheel bearings, tyres and rims - Leaks underneath - Electrical system and batteries - Dash warning lights/fault codes - Exhaust/smoke - Any obvious structural/chassis issues - Signs of overheating If possible, I’d also like fault codes scanned, a road test and an inspection underneath the bus. The bus is advertised as “starts, runs, drives and stops”, but I want an independent opinion before handing over money. I can provide the exact location and arrange access with the seller. Please only apply if you have genuine experience with heavy vehicles, buses, Hino trucks/coaches or similar. I’d ideally like photos/videos of anything concerning and a quick written summary of what you find, including whether you would personally drive it from Sydney to Brisbane and what repairs you think it may need. We have a 2018 Hyundai iLoad with barn doors. There is an existing reverse camera installed on the rear view mirror. We’d like the camera installed on the existing dash unit. All 2018 iLoads have the kit installed but the camera wasn’t installed on iLoads with barn doors. We may need a new camera if the existing camera isn’t compatible or just the install of the camera is compatible. Thanks

I need someone to come to me and do a leak down test on 1 cylinder on a Hyosung 650. I will have the tank off and ready. Compression is fine on both cylinders, when it is warm it starts to blow smoke and changes with revs. I don’t know if it’s running rich or the oil rings are gone. If leak down test is okay then will have to look at tuning the carbys. The fuel lines and clamps around the fuel pump might need to be replaced as well as they are leaking. Please ignore the budget and quote what it would take.
