Hi there, (Sorry for posting this in airtasker - it just seems like it will reach the right type of person for this arrangement). We are seeking a person or a couple interested in helping us with our young family in exchange for low or even no rent. It’s probably most like an au pair setup but with much less responsibility and hours working. Move in date around late September/early October. The unit usually rents for $300 and would be lowered by how much time could be spent assisting us each week (at a fair and agreeable rate). We would like the lease to be for at least half a year and extend on for multiple years for the right fit. We anticipate this would suit someone currently studying or a pensioner who has some time to spare each week. What is on offer is a separate single bedroom unit (approx 40m2) a block from grand central with a shared garden with another unit (this is totally separate to our dwelling). This will be updated with a fresh coat of paint and can be partially or fully furnished. It can also come with a single carport if required. (Note that the pictures is of a different unit with the same layout - though as soon as it’s free, I’ll be able to post more photos). The arrangement would include committing to helping us with regular light cleaning and, depending on skills/background/passions, could include general household tasks, child minding, cooking, gardening, managing chickens or any other skill that would be of assistance. As this is quite a personal arrangement where you will be living close to, and interacting a fair bit with our family, we will be looking to chat further with applicants to gauge compatibility. We’d also have you check out the space also to ensure it is as you would expect. We are a family of two working professionals and have one primary school aged child and two in day care. Large 6 ft by 3 ft by 2 ft tank requires a full overhaul. Full of freshwater fish has been stable and balanced for some time, unfortunately some plastic plants have decided to disintegrate into the tank. I require assistance from someone that is passionate about fish has a good understanding of what they're doing, has spare equipment like buckets airators etc, and can assist me in, removing wooden tank lid and the fish safely from the tank, draining, removing plastic plants, aquascape, gravel substrate, cleaning 2x large canister filters. Refitting and restoring the tank including aquascape with fresh live plants and returning my fish safely back to their home. Happy to negotiate further payment in person for help with design and install of aquascape if they have apped supplies for this.

We need regular cleaning to be done between guest checkout and check on our 2 Bedroom unit in Kearney springs, Toowoomba.
