We have a home that we also share with my brother, so we only need a cleaner for 2 bedrooms, one bathroom and the main areas (lounge, dining, kitchen, laundry room). We mostly want the kitchen, bathroom, toilet and floors cleaned and every now and then we would like to request an additional task to be done as they come up (which we can pay additional for) such as cleaning the fridge, pantry, windows etc. Not sure what the usual rate is for a cleaner, I'm offering $40 an hour. Would like someone who has references as we won't be home during cleaning times.

Communication ok. But organised a gardner to arrive & was taken aback when I reminded her I hadn't agreed to that. Overall provided a decent general clean, but not bond clean standard. Door handles, walls, skirting boards all still unclean. Many spots missed lacking eye for detail - telling me house was in 'poor' condition. Left during the job to do another job. Had to book someone else to complete the job to standard.
