Or Jack Under Lower Control Arm Many HQ restorers install springs by: Removing the shock absorber. Positioning the spring correctly in the upper seat. Supporting the lower control arm with a floor jack. Slowly jacking the control arm up until the ball joint can be connected. Reinstalling the ball joint and shock. A safety chain through the spring is strongly recommended because HQ springs store a huge amount of energy. Use quality jack stands and, ideally, a spring compressor or safety chain. If the lower control arm is disconnected and the spring is not restrained, it can eject with significant force.

Knocking under the hood of 2020 Hyundai i30 CN7 Sedan. From the suspension, just changed sway bar links, so either bushings, tie rod, axel… need someone who can diagnose it and fix it, cheaper than the Hyundai service centre.

Need some help/recommendations urgently for a BMW suspension issue in Brisbane. I’ve got a 2017 BMW X5 F15. I recently had the rear airbags/shocks and air compressor replaced by another mechanic, but I’m still having problems with the left rear side deflating intermittently and it’s now blowing the suspension fuse as well. From everything I’ve read and tested, I’m fairly confident the valve block/valve unit is the next issue. I already have the replacement part ready to go — just need someone who knows these systems properly to fit it and diagnose/check the rest of the setup. Hoping to get it done this Friday or Saturday (23/5 or 24/5). Happy to travel around Brisbane for the right person. If anyone can recommend a good BMW mechanic/mobile mechanic who understands F15 air suspension systems, or if you’re a mechanic yourself and available, please let me know. I have a JDM Crown Majesta with avs suspension, ordered upgraded struts KYB Extage, and needing old springs transfered over plus install other suspension bits like top mounts and bumper stops, front and rear can drop of somehwere if needing, hopefully not to far away, if so would need a loan car for day.. Parts ordered directly from Japan, not coming for approx a month, only respond to my add if you do this type of suspension work, my crown is too special and parts are to hard to get if it all goes wrong.

I have a 2018 v6 Amarok and i have purchased a dobinsons coilover suspension upgrade, upper control arms and diff drop kit to be installed.

I have a Conqueror UEV310 camper trailer with the early model rubber suspension axle, which is seized. Rather than replacing it with a new rubber suspension axle, I want it to be converted to leaf springs. I will buy a leaf spring kit meeting the requirements of the trailer. I need you to remove the old axle and install the new axle. Removing the old axle is straight forward. To install the leaf springs, a steel mounting plate will be required. The steel plate needs to roughly 60mm x 900mm x 8mm. The leaf spring mounts are welded to the plate (I expect professional welds!), the plate is then bolted to the trailer frame (needs new holes drilled) with 4 high tensile M12 bolts and self locking nuts. The leaf strings and axles are then mounted to the above plate. Also, you may need to weld the brake bracket to the new axle depending if this is done already from factory or not. Of course, everything as to be straight to and aligned. I buy all the required suspension parts and hardware. You do the labour and provide a welder and whatever other tool you require to complete the job. The mounting bracket can easily be fabricated on a workbench ready for installation, before the trailer gets pulled apart. I cannot help, make sure you have a helping hand if you need one.
