Ive installed a Kenwood head unit into a 2013 Xtrail with all the correct harness and patch leads etc. The system works apart from the steering wheel controls. I have not had any luck problem solving. Im sure someone with experience will solve it very quickly.

attach tiny android auto AI box via usbc lead to rear port of kenwood dmx 7522s head unit. Would prefer usbc lead hidden and AI unit to be placed somewhere out of the way but still within reach. while the head unit is out do a firmware upgrade of the kenwood itself
