When engine starts high pitched noise from front. Have replaced belt but still squeals. Suspect alternator bearing as dash charge gauge not showing up to 13 volts. Could be water pump bearing so need to test. Car is an XJ 6 Jaguar 1985 Sovereign so access to alternator only from below under air conditioning compressor. I can source new alternator and obtain car club discount. Just need fitting new alternator or water pump . - Due date: Flexible
