Hi, I’m looking for a reliable mobile mechanic or small independent mechanic to supply and install a brand new radiator for my 2013 Holden Barina automatic (approx. 190,000 km). The radiator is currently leaking and needs to be replaced ASAP; the car is still drivable, the timing belt is brand new, and the car has just been serviced. I do not have the radiator, so you will need to supply a new radiator, install it, refill and bleed coolant, and check for leaks after installation. Hi! I’m looking for a DIY-er who likes working on cars. I need to replace the radiator on my 2016 Subaru Impreza. I can’t afford a mechanic and am a single mum and really need my car (especially because it’s school holidays). So I’m going to try and change it myself! Hoping a fellow DIY enthusiast who loves working on cars can give me a hand. Would be amazing if you have tools you could bring (Eg car jack and stands,socket and wrench set etc). I don’t mind if you haven’t changed a radiator before - there are a lot of videos we can follow on YouTube. Would love help to do this today. It sounds like a job that will take a couple of hours (including bleeding the coolant) - if you can’t stay that long that’s ok, helping me get well under way is fine (at least an hour of your time would be appreciated). My car is in my garage in Templestowe. That’s where we’ll work on it. I’m buying a replacement radiator now and already have a new radiator cap and coolant. Initially I’d hoped it was just the cap that needed replacing but when I put the new one on, the pressure showed a small leak in the top of the radiator behind the cap. Last week I was driving, my check engine light came on. It wasn’t even 20 minutes later that I started to lose power, I ended up stopping the car with smoke pouring out of the bonnet. I NEED to know if my engine has blown. There was no loud bang but there were some light tapping noises. The aircon started playing up about a week before this had happend. And oil was re filled about 2 weeks prior.
