I’m looking at purchasing a 2014 Audi A1 Sportback 1.4 TFSI S tronic and would like an experienced person to come along and give it a quick but thorough once-over before I make the purchase. The job should take around 15–20 minutes and I’m offering $100. I’m not after a formal inspection or written report. I just need someone who knows what they're looking at and can give me an honest second opinion. Ideally, I’d like you to: - Check the engine for unusual noises, leaks or obvious issues - Check the S tronic transmission - Look over suspension, brakes and tyres - Check for warning lights or obvious faults - Look for signs of previous accident damage or poor repairs - Listen for anything that doesn't sound right - Take the car for a quick drive around the block - Point out anything that could potentially become an expensive repair Audi/VW experience is strongly preferred, particularly with the 1.4 TFSI and S tronic/DSG. 2007 Audi A4 B7 sedan – rear right light/socket assembly I need help with the rear right lights on my 2007 Audi A4 B7 sedan. The rear right brake light, indicator and reverse light have all stopped working. The bulb has already been replaced by a mechanic, but the lights still didn’t work. The mechanic was able to get them working temporarily by jiggling/moving the light/socket assembly and advised that the socket assembly may need replacing. They have since stopped working again. I would like someone experienced with Audi/VW electrical work to: • Inspect the existing socket/bulb holder and connector • Confirm what part is actually required and check that the issue isn’t wiring/connector related • Identify the correct part number • Source/order the replacement part • Return to install it once it arrives • Check that the brake, indicator and reverse lights are all working correctly Payment for the part: The replacement part will be paid for separately from the Airtasker labour fee. Please confirm the exact part number and price with me before ordering. I can either pay the supplier directly or reimburse you for the exact cost on presentation of a receipt/invoice. Please let me know your labour cost for the inspection, sourcing and installation. I would prefer someone with experience working on Audi/VW vehicles.
