Description: I need an old external fabric/window awning removed from a second-storey front window of a brick unit. The job includes removing the awning fabric and the attached metal arms/brackets/fixtures, as far as this can be done safely. The awning does not need to be kept or preserved. It can be cut down, cut in half, or dismantled in pieces if that makes removal easier. I have a ladder available and may also have some basic tools, including screwdrivers, pliers, drill, Stanley knife and possibly a hacksaw. Please bring any tools you specifically need, especially for removing brackets or cutting the metal frame if required. The job is removal only — no replacement, repair or painting required. I just need the awning and metal pieces taken down safely and brought down to ground level. Disposal would be helpful if possible, but not essential. There are nearby external cables/fixtures, so care is needed when removing it. Please only respond if you are comfortable working at height and can do the job safely. Photos attached show the awning, access and location. I’d keep “as far as this can be done safely” because if a bracket is deeply fixed into brickwork or close to wiring, you don’t want some hero with a drill creating a new problem.

The fly screen mesh where the window handle access point needs repairing (a bit tricky to describe, hopefully the photos will give you a better picture of what needs doing!). Also need help reinstalling 2 fly screens please! The tabs have snapped off after I forcefully tried to remove the fly screen to save my cat from the roof!!
