I’m a beginner singer looking for a friendly, encouraging and experienced piano accompanist to help me prepare two songs (jazz and indie folk ballads) as a personal birthday gift for my partner. I’m initially looking for a few relaxed sessions in Sydney, both to work on the songs and to see whether singing with live piano accompaniment is something I would like to keep exploring. I’m based in Newtown but happy to travel as needed. I’m currently overseas and a first session on 10 or 11 October would be ideal. Budget: approximately $90 per one-hour session.

Looking for a DJ for our wedding reception (4 hours) on 29 November in Sydney. We’ll have a playlist/some specific songs we’d like played, but we’re also looking for someone who can read the room and keep the dance floor going, rather than just playing through a set playlist. We’d prefer songs to be mixed/shortened rather than always playing full songs while people are dancing. We’re also potentially interested in having live acoustic music/singing during our short ceremony, so we’re open to someone who can offer a DJ + live acoustic/singer combo.
