Looking for a talented video editor/storyteller to create a cinematic wedding video (heartfelt + funny + documentary style) To be roughly 5 mins long I’m looking for an experienced video editor with strong storytelling ability to create a sentimental, funny and professionally edited video to screen at my wedding before our first dance. This is NOT a simple slideshow. I want a creative editor who can help craft a mini documentary-style film using childhood footage, family videos and newly filmed interview footage. Concept: Part 1 – Funny & Nostalgic I will provide childhood videos of myself and my fiancé. I want these edited so it feels like we are being “interviewed” as children answering present-day questions, with humour created through clever cuts and unexpected responses from old footage. Part 2 – Emotional & Raw It then transitions into documentary/camcorder style footage of us being interviewed separately before the wedding about marriage, the big day, what we love about each other, and what we’re excited for. The goal is for us to see each other’s answers for the first time during the reception. Looking for someone with: • Strong storytelling ability (most important) • Cinematic/documentary style editing • Creative humour through clever cutting • Emotional pacing & good music selection • Wedding film or documentary editing experience preferred I will provide: • Childhood home videos • Family footage • Newly filmed interview footage • Creative direction/examples Need final delivery well before 22 August 2026. I'm after a sharp, creative videographer (ideally one who also shoots stills) for a half-day shoot in Melbourne, plus editing into three short personal-brand videos and a set of professional photos. Video: direct-to-camera pieces (intro/outro) plus B-roll of me in everyday settings, at my computer, gym, running, playing chess. Clean, modern, dynamic: gimbal movement, good natural lighting, crisp audio for the spoken parts. From this footage I need three edited videos, all using my voice as voiceover over the B-roll: - A 30–60s professional "elevator pitch" (for my website) - A ~90s version with a different edit/emphasis - A more lifestyle-focused cut The website pitch and lifestyle cut share the same footage, just reweighted, so you're filming once and producing three edits, not three separate productions. Photos: while we're set up, I also want professional LinkedIn / personal-branding stills, dynamic and engaged, not a static headshot. A mix of: one or two clean headshots, some environmental shots (at the desk, mid-thought, in context), and a few candid/movement frames. Deliverables: alongside the finished videos and edited photos, I need all raw footage and project/edit files handed over, as I'll splice in my own travel footage later.
