Hi. I have two 'cat shelves' that need to be installed outside my home into weatherboard, but fixed into the steel frame of the house for stability. View installation of the exact product at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jv0-9zI5eEk. Higher degree of difficulty - the install is required outside the 2nd floor! We have a stratco patio roof to stand on to do the job, and a ladder, but no tools to drill into the steel frame. Help!

I'm after an experienced carpenter to clad the back wall and ceiling of my timber patio in hardwood slats. I'll supply all the timber, screws and spacers. You bring the tools and the know-how. Back wall (5405 × 2100 mm) • 23 rows of 86 × 19 hardwood boards, run horizontally and fixed to 5 existing roof posts. • First board 20 mm off the deck, with about 4 mm gaps. • Random-length boards, joined on post centres with the joins staggered. Ceiling (5700 × 2800 mm) • 52 slats of 86 × 19, run front to back between 9 exposed rafters (6 per bay, about 13 mm gaps). • Fixed up to the underside of the 5 existing roof purlins, about 700 mm centres. • Joins land on purlins and are staggered. • Screw length is critical so nothing goes through the polycarbonate roof sheet above, and fixings need to miss the existing roof screws. Requirements • Pre-drill every hole, with 2 stainless screws per board at every post or purlin. • Neat, straight and level work. This is a feature space, so finish matters. • Your own drop saw, drivers, levels and ladders or trestles. • Clean up offcuts at the end. I have dimensioned drawings, a cut list and a set-out sheet that I'm happy to share.

Looking for an experienced carpenter, landscaper, or handy person to reconstruct a small outdoor staircase between two existing brick retaining walls. We need to replace the old, steep masonry steps with a safer, four-step terraced design with low risers and deep treads, closely aligned to the stairs pictured in the mockup. Image 1: Current steep, worn-out masonry steps to be removed. Image 2: The desired dark-stained timber with crushed granite result we want. Scope of Work & Details: Demolition: Demo and remove the existing brick/concrete steps and excavate into the upper patio level to allow for a more gradual, four-tier incline. (Note: The top patio pavers will be removed by us/others before you start). Timber Framing: Supply and construct the stair borders using heavy-duty, rounded/eased-edge timber sleepers. Finishing: Please quote for a dark stain or pre-stained (such as dark oak, walnut, or charcoal-brown) to be applied to the timber, rather than natural pine, to match our garden’s aesthetic. Infill: Compact and infill the stairs using the crushed granite being supplied on-site. (Note: While the crushed granite will be provided, you will need to include application of a liquid binding/stabilising agent as part of packing and levelling it). Fitment: Ensure the new frame integrates snugly and securely with the existing brick retaining walls without undermining them. What We Need in Your Offer: Please provide an all-inclusive quote for: All Labor (Demolition of existing steps, excavation, timber cutting/framing, and installation). Materials (Timber sleepers, dark exterior stain/sealant, fast-setting concrete/anchors, fasteners, and necessary base materials like road base or sand). Excludes the crushed granite itself, which we will have on hand. Please specify your experience with similar landscaping or carpentry tasks, when you would be available to start, and an estimated duration for the build.

A panel on our outdoor patio/porch ceiling has sagged, creating a noticeable gap between the boards. Looking for an experienced carpenter or handyman to secure it back into position and ensure the surrounding structure is solid. Type of Ceiling: Timber-look / composite outdoor lining board (soffit). Issue: One section of the tongue-and-groove boards has dropped down/detached from the frame beneath. Requires: Re-align and fix the panel flush back into the ceiling framework. Provide necessary fixings (screws/brad nails/adhesive). Access: Outdoor patio area, easily accessible via standard step ladder (approx. 2.4m ceiling height). Tools Provided: None – please bring your own step ladder and tools
