Looking to connect with an Australian-qualified, practising lawyer with proven experience in cryptocurrency business regulations, licensing and compliance in Australia. We are currently developing a cryptocurrency payments and trading platform covering crypto payment gateways, POS payments, OTC trading, P2P trading and digital wallets. Mandatory Requirements: 1. Must be a qualified Australian lawyer holding a current Australian practising certificate. 2. Must have direct experience advising crypto-related businesses on Australian regulatory and licensing requirements, particularly involving ASIC, AUSTRAC, AFSL and other applicable financial services regulations. 3. Must have previous practical experience assisting cryptocurrency exchanges, payment providers, digital asset businesses or similar financial technology companies. 4. Must be able to demonstrate relevant previous engagements or licensing experience. Scope of This Task: This is only an initial introduction and background discussion, not a paid legal consultation or licensing advisory engagement. We would like to briefly discuss your professional background, previous experience with Australian crypto businesses and relevant licensing matters. If your experience aligns with our requirements, we may arrange a separate, appropriately budgeted legal consultation and potentially engage you for ongoing regulatory and licensing assistance. When responding, please briefly outline your legal qualifications, relevant cryptocurrency regulatory experience and examples of similar Australian businesses you have assisted. We are looking for experienced legal practitioners only. Consultants, intermediaries and individuals without Australian legal qualifications not preferred Thanks SAM

I am seeking an experienced Australian tax specialist or tax lawyer to provide an independent assessment of a loan interest deductibility matter relating to a residential investment property. Scope of advice: • Assess the tax deductibility of interest on an existing loan facility. • Consider the original borrowing arrangements, subsequent loan restructuring and use of funds. • Review the application of relevant Australian tax legislation, ATO rulings and case law. • Identify supporting arguments, potential risks and any areas of uncertainty. • Provide a concise written opinion on the deductibility position and its treatment in personal income tax returns. Requirements: •Demonstrated expertise in Australian income tax law, particularly property financing and interest deductibility. •Experience with complex loan arrangements and ATO interpretations. •Must be an Australian-based registered tax agent or Australian-qualified tax lawyer with demonstrable experience in complex income tax matters. This is a defined advisory assignment, not a request for tax return preparation. The objective is to establish whether proposed claims for loan interest deductions in my personal income tax returns are legally supportable and defensible under Australian taxation law, including in the event of ATO scrutiny. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi, I have a very complex case with a family member regarding an enduring power-of-attorney. I am his EPOA and have just been granted interim guardianship and administrator of his affairs until a final hearing 13 November. I have prepared all of the QCAT submissions myself, and have a very solid understanding of what’s happening. However, I really need some ongoing support. Someone to bounce concepts off and to potentially help be available to coach /support me on the day. I do not need legal representation on the day as I am ok to turn up and do this however I would like someone supporting me in the lead up and on the day. Would prefer an Accredited Specialist in Succession Law or an Elder Law Specialist. Negotiable on fees.

I am looking for a qualified Australian tax accountant or BAS agent to provide a 1-on-1 consultation and guidance regarding PAYG withholding adjustments for an employee wage scenario in Australia. Specific Tasks: Explain the mechanics of updating a secondary income stream's tax withholding status using standard ATO forms (such as the Withholding Declaration NAT 3093). Help me calculate estimated standard tax brackets for a dual-income scenario so I can avoid an end-of-year tax shortfall. Provide guidance on best practices for managing personal tax tracking for multiple employers. Important Requirements: Do NOT send any personal identification data (TFN, full legal documents, or company names) in initial messages. Must have strong, verified knowledge of Australian Taxation Office (ATO) guidelines, Single Touch Payroll (STP), and employee withholding declarations. Professional, confidential, and experienced with individual tax planning. When applying, please briefly outline your experience with Australian individual taxation and PAYG withholding rules.
