We need a painter for a newly installed timber front door, door frame, and stained glass surrounds. All surfaces have already been primed by the installer. The work involves light sanding of all primed surfaces to remove marks and ensure a smooth finish. Small nail holes in the timber from installation will need to be filled with suitable filler, sanded flush, and spot-primed if required. The stained glass panels, hardware, and adjacent surfaces must be carefully masked to avoid paint bleed. Two top coats of paint are required on all surfaces, applied evenly to achieve a smooth finish without brush marks. All edges of the door must also be painted for complete protection. The painter is to supply the paints. Dulux Aquanamel Semi Gloss in Vivid White is to be used for all interior surfaces and all exterior surfaces except the outside face of the door. Porter’s Aqua Satin Enamel in Sydney Harbour is to be used on the outside face of the door only. On completion, all surfaces should be left smooth and free of visible nail holes, drips, or imperfections. Masking is to be removed cleanly with no paint bleed onto glass or hardware, and the work area should be left tidy. The quote should include all labour, preparation, paint application, supply of the specified paints, and any other necessary materials.

I have some carpentry and plastering that needs to be done to repair some water damage at the back of my house. Care needs to be taken not to disturb any asbestos cladding in the walls. Three weatherboards need replacing, skirting on outside and inside of the bathroom window needs replacing, the wall inside the bathroom needs covering with cement sheeting so as not to disturb it. Then some plastering around it to tidy it up and some caulk for sealing out any water. I have some paint the same colour as the weatherboards to use and can purchase some white paint for the skirting if needed.
