Previous housemates left gouges in polyurethane coated floorboards. Floor boards also show signs of scuffs and scratches from every day use and dogs. Main concern is the gouges second concern is overall buff or polish. *Do not have permission to sand anything back (nor the funds) just want to take the attention off so when property manager inspect, they don’t pick up on it I would be open to sanding the affected floorboards for the deep gouges. But cannot do a full sand and polish of all floorboards. I believe we have the original vanish, but this would be quite old by now so not sure if the sheen or colour will match any more I have tried wax sticks, scratch polish, walnut. My next attempt was going to be to hire a floor polisher however KENNARDS hire company did not recommend their floor polisher for our job. They expressed that the provided pads will not suffice. Every specialist I speak to says that they will not just sand one area due to the potential of mismatch I am open to advice, and happy to assist

Hi, I’m looking to get timber flooring installed in my 3 bedroom house in Wurtulla and am just after some indicative quotes at this stage. It’s roughly 85m2 (living area, bedrooms and hallway – no bathroom or kitchen). There’s currently old carpet that would need to be removed. I’ve already purchased the flooring from Harvey Norman (Timbermax Ultra engineered timber flooring). I was originally planning to install it myself but have decided to get a professional to do it properly. I think the job would require: removal of carpet and edging (furniture will be removed beforehand) basic floor prep (concrete slab below) laying of timber flooring (including underlay) trims/edges at doorways as required clean up afterwards and removal of waste Just looking for an indicative price and availability for now.
