I’m looking for an experienced, friendly hospitality assistant to help at an afternoon gathering with 10–12 guests at my Melbourne CBD apartment. Date: Saturday 17 October Time: 12pm–4pm Payment: $150, plus parking costs covered. I’d love someone who can keep drinks flowing and things tidy, so I can enjoy the afternoon with my guests. Duties include: * Making and serving two easy cocktails individually, with recipes, ingredients and equipment supplied by myself * Serving other drinks and keeping glasses topped up. * Light canapé preparation, including heating, plating and serving. * Clearing used plates and glasses. * Light washing up and keeping the kitchen tidy throughout the afternoon. You’ll be the only hospitality team member, so I’m looking for someone comfortable working independently, using initiative and noticing what needs doing without being prompted. Previous hospitality or function experience is preferred, along with confidence making simple cocktails and a friendly, professional manner. Please include a little about your relevant experience and any similar private events you’ve worked at. Bonus points if you love hosting and making people feel looked after!

Small Florist / Balloon Business Wanted for Event Collaboration I’m looking to connect with a small, local florist or balloon styling business to potentially collaborate with my new event hire business, GloLine & Co Events. I specialise in light-up letters and numbers for birthdays, parties and celebrations, and I’m looking to build relationships with other small businesses in the events industry where we can refer clients to each other and potentially create combined packages. I’m particularly interested in working with someone who is: A small/independent business or solo operator Local to Melbourne south east Experienced in balloon styling and/or floristry Professional, reliable and easy to communicate with Interested in building a genuine ongoing business relationship Has a similar luxury, modern and elevated aesthetic What I'm hoping to discuss I’d love to chat about how we could work together, for example: • Recommending each other's services to clients • Creating combined balloon/floral + light-up letter packages • Offering trade pricing when one business supplies services for the other's booking • Collaborating on events • Creating content together to promote both businesses There is no commitment to ongoing work — this would initially be an opportunity for us to see if our businesses are a good fit and discuss what could work for both of us. I’d love for this to potentially turn into an ongoing collaboration with regular referrals and event work. Please include your Instagram, website or portfolio when applying so I can have a look at your work. I’m looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being part of a small business community and would be excited to grow alongside another new business. (the price listed is to be able to post this task)
