Trip tops of trees from 2nd floor balcony of apartment building. Large fig tree in front of balcony - canopy extends 7m from edge of balcony. Here’s what Claude states is the scope of works for this Bunnings Online Marketplace “Everfit 45 inch backboard” Scope of Work: • Assess the structural suitability of the cavity wall for cantilevered load mounting • Identify primary load-bearing elements (wooden frame, steel lintel, concrete support) • Recommend the most secure and code-compliant attachment method for a basketball backboard system • Specify bolt size, type, and installation depth required • Advise on any moisture/weatherproofing considerations for penetrations Key Information: • Wall construction: Brick veneer cavity wall with visible internal wooden frame and steel lintel • Load case: 1140 mm wide backboard bracket system (estimated dynamic load 2.3+ kN) • Cavity depth and structural member visibility: Good (interior access available) • Current condition: Some moisture damage/efflorescence visible—assess impact on mounting safety Deliverables: • Written assessment with recommendations • Sketches/details showing recommended attachment points • Confirmation of bolt specifications and spacing I have no idea how much this might cost and may well have to look at another option.

Hi, I’m looking for a qualified structural engineer (NSW) to review and provide sign-off on a custom residential entry system. The system includes: - Reinforced concrete footings and 3 pillar cores (~1300mm high above ground) - Internal steel frame integrated into each pillar - Sliding aluminium gate supported by one pillar - Architectural cladding system (porcelain tile over FC sheet – non-structural) - Integrated parcel letterbox within one pillar This is not a full design job — the system has already been developed. I am looking for: - Review of footing sizing and depth - Confirmation of reinforcement and cage design - General verification of structural adequacy (loads from gate, wind, etc.) - Written sign-off suitable for residential construction I can provide: - Drawings and renders - Dimensions and layout - Construction sequence and materials Preference for: - NSW-based engineer - Experience with residential structural elements - Ability to provide written confirmation or stamped document Looking for a practical review rather than a full redesign. I have just ordered 5 new outdoor lights and want these to be swapped over for my existing ones , see picture. 3 ground floor and 2 on upstairs balcony . They should arrive in about a week so no rush. Must be licensed and good feedback . The red marks on the house show the existing lights and the other 2 are the ones that need replacing. I need the bath tub to be removed (never to be put back again) and the bathroom to be retiled. The bathroom is small 2.8m x1.9m. But waterproofing certificaiton is required for Strata. Location: Gymea, NSW I need help with the labour only and I am also handy and technical and can help on the job.
