Hi, I'm looking for a licensed electrician to provide a written quote and install a standard 10A power point inside my ground-floor garage for charging a Tesla Model 3 using a Tesla Mobile Connector. **Important – Victorian EV Charging Requirements** A dedicated wall-mounted EV charger (such as a Tesla Wall Connector) is NOT required. The Victorian Government confirms that EVs can be charged using a standard Australian 10A household power point (Level 1 charging). Reference: https://www.energy.vic.gov.au/renewable-energy/zero-emission-vehicles/charging-your-electric-vehicle The installation must still comply with Victorian electrical safety requirements, applicable Australian Standards and Tesla's instructions, including any dedicated-circuit requirements. **Existing Setup:** - Existing outdoor power point on the upper-floor balcony, connected to my electricity meter. - Garage located approximately two levels below. - Preferred cable route is vertically down the external brick wall using protective conduit. - New standard 10A outlet to be installed inside the garage, protected from weather. **Scope of Work:** 1. Assess whether the existing balcony circuit can safely support regular overnight EV charging. 2. Provide a written quotation for landlord and body corporate approval. 3. Install a standard indoor 10A outlet using the existing circuit only if compliant. 4. Ensure appropriate electrical protection, earthing and testing. 5. Provide a Victorian Certificate of Electrical Safety. **Budget: Maximum $150**, including quotation, labour, materials, GST and certification. I am renting, so installation can only proceed after landlord and body corporate approval. If a dedicated circuit or additional electrical work is required, please explain before proceeding. I am seeking a safe, compliant and cost-effective solution without purchasing a wall-mounted EV charger. Photo of proposed installation route attached. Thank you.
