Need a structural engineering report to support a building permit application for a small fixed canopy in a commercial courtyard (within an apartment building), Oakleigh VIC. Canopy is a proprietary aluminium-framed shade structure (2.8m wide x 2.8m projection x 0.9m high), fixed to an existing courtyard slab/fence. Need certification of wind loading and fixing/anchorage points suitable for building permit lodgement. Can supply: manufacturer's canopy specifications, site layout/elevation plans, site photos. Happy for this to be done remotely if you're confident from supplied info — otherwise let me know if you'd recommend a short site visit and what that adds to the cost.
