Structural Engineer Required – Modular Building System Development We're an established construction company in Central West NSW developing an innovative Australian modular building system and are looking for a qualified Structural Engineer to become an ongoing engineering partner. **Stage 1 – Prototype Certification** We have an existing steel portal frame that will be used to construct our first prototype. We require assessment and certification (or recommendations for minor modifications where required) to achieve compliance with relevant Australian Standards and NCC requirements while retaining as much of the existing design as practical. Scope includes: • Structural review • Calculations • Design recommendations • Certification/documentation for construction **Stage 2 – Product Development** Following the prototype, we'd like to continue working together to develop the next generation of our modular structural platform. Areas of development include: • Improved portal frame • Lifting points for transport/crane loads • Bolt-together DFMA design • Floor and roof optimisation • Module connection details • Service integration • Standardisation for future production We're looking for a practising Australian Structural Engineer with experience in structural steel. Experience with modular buildings, transportable structures, portal frames or product development would be highly regarded. This is a collaborative engineering project with ongoing work, not simply a one-off certification. Remote applicants Australia-wide are welcome. Due to the proprietary nature of the project, shortlisted applicants will be required to sign a Mutual NDA before detailed drawings are provided. I'm looking for a cabinetmaker, joiner or custom-furniture maker to design and build a low open shelving unit to sit behind a freestanding sofa in my apartment in Erskineville. The piece will act as a room divider and display shelf. It should resemble a vintage Danish/mid-century teak low bookcase, with open asymmetrical compartments similar to the attached references. Approximate dimensions: - 1950mm wide - 300mm deep - 570mm high Design requirements: - Open shelving visible and accessible from both sides - No doors, drawers or back panel - Mix of differently sized rectangular and square compartments - Space for coffee-table books, records, candles and decorative objects - Straight architectural outer frame - No visible legs - Warm teak or walnut appearance to complement an existing vintage teak cabinet - Matte or low-sheen finish - All faces, edges and internal surfaces must be properly finished, as the unit will be visible from both rooms Curved appearance created using CNC-cut or router-cut flat panels; no bent lamination required. We have a young toddler, so stability is important. Because the unit will not sit against a wall, is it possible to have the base solid. I'm thinking a high-quality prefinished walnut-look furniture board. Budget is flexible depending on material and construction proposal. I’m happy to simplify the curved details to keep it affordable.

We are seeking an experienced RPEQ structural engineer for an ongoing subcontract partnership, primarily covering residential projects throughout Queensland. Mandatory requirements: -Active ABN -Current RPEQ registration -Your own professional indemnity insurance -Proven experience with Class 1 and Class 10 buildings -Ability to complete structural calculations, drawings and Form 15 certification -Capacity to work within competitive subcontractor/partner rates This is not retail consulting work. We require genuine partner pricing in return for a regular volume of design projects. As an indication, straightforward retaining-wall packages may be priced around $250–$300, including structural drawings and Form 15, depending on the scope. We already have several subcontract designers but require additional capacity due to increasing workload. Availability to undertake structural inspections in Brisbane would also be highly regarded. Please respond only if you meet the above requirements. Include your experience, location, availability, insurance details and indicative subcontract pricing.
