Freelance Graphic Designer – Masthead creation for Newspaper needed. We're seeking a freelance graphic designer to create a visually distinctive masthead for a new renewable energy publication, which is targeting professionals, policymakers, and relevant stakeholders. The masthead must convey editorial authority with modern clarity—preferably balancing tradition with progress. Work Scope: • Design a range of masthead concepts with font pairings and optional logo integrations as required • Incorporate shortlisted fonts or propose alternatives • Provide mockups for both print (Australian tabloid) and digital formats • Be willing to work with us for as long as it takes to perfect the logo • Deliver final assets in AI, EPS, SVG, PNG, and PDF formats • Include font licensing details and a mini style guide Format Requirements • Print masthead: ~240–260mm wide • Digital masthead: responsive header for web and newsletter, scalable for mobile • Must accommodate legal disclaimers and issue metadata Ideal Candidate • Strong portfolio in editorial branding or newspaper design • Familiarity with Australian print specs and digital publishing standards Timeline • Final delivery: within 3 weeks of listing PLEASE NOTE THIS CRITICAL INFO BEFORE APPLYING - You must be able to provide prior examples of work you have done that have preferably been conceived and produced by you. The logo is very important as it will form the foundation of the brand identity and needs to work well across a variety of formats.
