I’m looking for a creative and caring children’s book writer and illustrator to develop a fully finished, print-ready picture book (PDF) based on a deeply personal story. This book is inspired by my daughter, Harper, who lost her eye to retinoblastoma (eye cancer) at just 3 months old. I would love this story to be transformed into a beautiful, uplifting children’s book that helps her—and other children like her—see their difference as a superpower. The story concept: A young girl (based on Harper) goes through her early medical journey, including losing an eye due to cancer. The story should be gentle, child-friendly, and empowering, showing her experiences in a non-scary way. As she grows, she learns: * She is brave and strong * Hospital visits are part of staying healthy * Eye drops may sting but help keep her safe * She sometimes has check-ups under “sleepy medicine” (general anaesthetic) * The special, kind lady who makes and fits her prosthetic eye is fun and exciting to visit * Having one eye is not a limitation—it becomes her superpower The overall message is confidence, resilience, and self-acceptance. Her difference becomes what makes her powerful. What I’m looking for: * Someone to develop the full story from the concept * Write the children’s book text * Create all illustrations (warm, colourful, engaging style) * Design and format the book * Deliver a print-ready PDF (for printing copies at home/professionally) Approx. 16–30 pages (open to advice on best structure for age group). Purpose of the book: This is a personal project for my daughter, but also something I hope to share more widely. I plan to print copies to give to: * The Royal Children’s Hospital * The ocularist who creates Harper’s prosthetic eye * Other families going through similar journeys

Looking for a talented video editor/storyteller to create a cinematic wedding video (heartfelt + funny + documentary style) To be roughly 5 mins long I’m looking for an experienced video editor with strong storytelling ability to create a sentimental, funny and professionally edited video to screen at my wedding before our first dance. This is NOT a simple slideshow. I want a creative editor who can help craft a mini documentary-style film using childhood footage, family videos and newly filmed interview footage. Concept: Part 1 – Funny & Nostalgic I will provide childhood videos of myself and my fiancé. I want these edited so it feels like we are being “interviewed” as children answering present-day questions, with humour created through clever cuts and unexpected responses from old footage. Part 2 – Emotional & Raw It then transitions into documentary/camcorder style footage of us being interviewed separately before the wedding about marriage, the big day, what we love about each other, and what we’re excited for. The goal is for us to see each other’s answers for the first time during the reception.
