Cleaning Jobs in Merewether

Busy households, offices, and event venues all rely on reliable cleaners to keep things fresh and tidy, making cleaning jobs some of the most in-demand tasks across Australia. When you offer cleaning services through Airtasker, a big advantage you can enjoy is the flexibility. You choose the type of cleaning jobs you take on, set your own rates, manage your availability, and easily grow your reputation by delivering excellent service and building client relationships that last.

House cleaning jobs

Many clients look for reliable help with weekly or fortnightly house cleaning. These tasks usually involve vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and general tidying to keep homes running smoothly. The demand is constant, as families, busy professionals, and even shared houses need regular help.

Having your own supplies, such as a vacuum, mop, and even options for eco-friendly products, can make you more appealing to clients. Go beyond their expectations with simple gestures like folding towels neatly or wiping down appliances to help you turn a one-time job into a regular booking.

Deep cleaning and specialised jobs

Some clients post tasks for deep cleaning, which may include scrubbing grout, washing walls, or tackling areas that haven’t been cleaned in months. These cleaning jobs are more challenging but often pay premium rates. Some tasks, such as carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, or post-renovation cleans, also require special skills and extra tools. Expect to earn more from these cleaning jobs, as clients will expect more than just a mop and vacuum.

One way to increase your earnings here is to upsell additional services. If you notice carpets need steam cleaning or windows need polishing, you can offer these as add-ons. Invest in professional-grade equipment to open your doors up to even more opportunities on Airtasker. Update your profile to clearly advertise your specialised services and highlight them when you make offers to secure more bookings.

End-of-lease cleaning jobs

End-of-lease cleaning is a higher-paying niche that often requires more detail. Tenants need to leave a property spotless to get their bond back, and landlords want the place looking fresh for new tenants. Because the work is more intensive, the pay is usually higher than a standard house cleaning job. If you’re knowledgeable in tasks like stain removal or oven cleaning, and if you have thorough attention to detail, these can be particularly valuable for this type of job.

Office cleaning jobs

Beyond homes, there’s a steady stream of office and small business cleaning jobs on Airtasker. These tasks usually take place after hours and involve duties like wiping desks, vacuuming, emptying bins, and cleaning shared kitchens.

They’re a great option if you’re free in the evenings and want gigs that can lead to regular, ongoing work. While office cleans don’t require the same level of detail as an end-of-lease job, they do demand efficiency and reliability all the same. Strong skills in organisation and time management can be beneficial, since businesses want cleaners who can work quickly without disrupting the space.

Tips to increase your cleaning earnings

The best way to make money from cleaning jobs on Airtasker is by treating every booking like it could lead to the next one. Arrive prepared with the right tools and supplies, work efficiently, and pay attention to detail. Small but meaningful gestures like leaving a room smelling fresh or arranging items neatly can make a big impression that keeps you top of mind for future cleaning jobs.

Building strong client relationships is just as important. Keeping conversations consistent, friendly, and clear makes you a strong candidate for repeat bookings, especially if the results you provide are always reliable. If clients know they can count on you to show up on time and deliver a thorough clean, they’ll keep coming back, offering you a steady and rewarding stream of income.
