I'm looking for a reliable, friendly and proactive person to help with my wife's surprise 40th birthday celebration at our family home in New Farm, Brisbane. We're hosting a relaxed but elegant gathering for approximately **17 adults and 9 children**, with drinks, fresh seafood and a sit-down dinner. **Date:** Saturday, 7 November 2026 **Time:** Approximately 12:30 pm – 8:00 pm (flexible) **Location:** New Farm, Brisbane **What we'll need help with:** - Setting up tables, chairs, tablecloths, glassware, plates and decorations before guests arrive. - Preparing and presenting food, including seafood, salads and shared platters. - Keeping drinks chilled, stocked and available throughout the afternoon. - Clearing plates, collecting glasses and keeping the kitchen and entertaining areas tidy. - Helping serve and replenish food during dinner. - Assisting with general clean-up at the end of the event. **Who we're looking for:** Someone organised, trustworthy and comfortable taking initiative without needing constant direction.
